Here comes the bride...ergh, pageant girl

While modeling has never been a dream of mine, it is something I dabble in occasionally. This weekend I was hired to model for the Chicago Bridal Market. Instead of styling behind the curtain, I walked the "red carpet" in next seasons glitzy prom, pageant and evening gowns. Here is a blurry sneak preview of my "four inches too short to be a model" career.

I would like to note that all of these dresses range from size 0-30, and custom order up to 36 are available.

Dutchinese Princess Revisted...

So my favorite little model Sydney just wrote me an amazingly sweet email about how Elite took six(yep 6!) images from our test shoot for her portfolio. I am pretty excited about this as Sydney has such a strong look and going so commercial was something I was weary of. I hope you enjoy these amazing photographers.

Biker Chic Lake Forest Style

Between the rain, overcast skies and this bizarre weather we are having the biker shoot finally happened. Forest & Bluff Magazine is doing a story and hopefully cover for Jason and Marcy a couple who own a custom bike shop out in Crystal Lake. The shoot took place near the French inspired Chateau out in Lake Forest. The bikes were two gorgeous custom pieces that I couldn't begin to try to describe. We ended up shooting two looks for both of them. The first was a QI Cashmere sweater dress paired with a XCVI leather and knit sweater jacket. The XCVI piece is my new must have for the season. Simple and chic all in one. Pair this look with a knee high Stella McCartney boot and you have a beautiful little number. On him we paired a gorgeous brown leather blazer by Robert Graham with some uber stylish William Rast jeans. The couple was a lot of fun to work with as both seemed to embody the North Shore persona with a little biker edge.

The magazine goes to press on Friday so I should have pictures up by next week. Stay tuned.

Duchinese Princess

Stunning. One word I can describe Sydney Lee by. She is one of Elite Chicago's new generation girls and is absolutely amazing. Sydney has one of the strongest faces I have seen and the perfect waif body. Her ethnicity is Dutch and Chinese which equated to perfect pale skin, dark features and the most beautiful cheek bones Chicago has ever seen. She is deinfetely one of the girls I would love to see go very very far.

Even though I think Editorial when I look at Sydney she needed some smiley images for her port. Thanks to the awesome Steve Hudson we were able to give her exactly what she needed.

Fashion: Peach and cream summer dress with cardigan by JCrew; Lilly Pulitzer pleated skirt argyle embroidery paired with a lime sweater; Anthology yellow beaded top with white shorts; Light blue ruffle dress made by Red Doll; Pink and Cream pleated dress made by Red Doll; Balmain black blazer with beige moto pants by Bridget Dickey

September Issue of Chicago Scene

The September issue of Chicago Scene Magazine is out now and guess who styled the cover?! Yep me! Well it was a team effort between myself and the ultra talented Miss. Agga B. The spread outlines a beautiful vintage story from Cinema Paradiso. Enjoy this fashion feast...
